The Shimano crankset FC-M4100-2 from the Deore series is a crank with two chainrings for 10-speed drivetrains. It is suitable for both MTB and City & Touring use. The chainrings are mounted via a conventional 4-arm spider. At 48.8 mm, the chainline, i.e. the distance from the frame to the center between the chainrings, is in the standard range, which is why the crank is compatible with 142 mm over locknut dimensions. The 2-piece construction provides a balanced ratio of stiffness to weight.

The Shimano Deore FC-M4100-2 crank is designed for 2x10-speed drivetrains and features a 2-piece construction keeping the weight low. A chainring ratio of 36 to 26 teeth offers an extra wide gearing range for efficient transmission of pedal force. The Deore crankset with a chain line of 48.8 mm and a Q-factor of 178.5 mm is suitable for dropouts that feature an O.L.D. of 135 or 142 mm.
