To mount an SD card instead of a CF card. This is economically interesting because high-capacity SD cards are significantly less expensive than CF cards with equivalent performance. This adapter can also be used in Nikon or Canon cameras in particular. Description: Converts SD (Secure Digital) memory to CF (Compact Flash) Type I or II card (suitable for both slots). The SD card fits completely into the adapter which is the usual sides of a CF card (36.4 x 42.8 x 5 mm). Will work on PDAs, cameras, printers etc... under 3.3V or 5V. Suitable for SD, SDHC, SDXC and also SD 3.0 cards (supports Windows extFAT files) from 4GB to 64GB. CF interface compatible with IDE mode/memory mode/IO mode. Note: For users of Eye-Fi cards for Canon, you will need to use conventional cards (less than 2GB) and not EyeFi x2. In addition, Eye-Fi cards will not work on Canon 20D/30D/40D with this type of adapter.
